The 2023 NHS APA Conference, titled 'Living the Stigma: Understanding Addiction & Overcoming Prejudice', will spotlight the impact of stigma against people who experience addiction and offer strategies for overcoming it through education and policy change.
This year, our conference will take place on Tuesday 28th November 2023 from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm.
The conference, which is to be held online, is open to all and will address:
How we can truly understand the impacts of addiction and the subsequent stigma faced;
How we can educate ourselves and others on issues related to stigma;
Strategies for overcoming prejudice and stigma against people who experience addiction.
Our panel of speakers will discuss how sector professionals and the wider public can actively support people experiencing addiction, reduce prejudice and eradicate stigmatising behaviours and actions.
Speakers and supporters will be announced at a later date. Sign up for our mailing list and be amongst the first to hear more about the #APAconf23.
Tickets are now available. Reserve your free place today: https://www.nhsapa.org/conference-2023.
